Another Monday Gone

Zoya Shiloh

This should have been a three coater, but it still worked fine with two coats.

My Monday was tiring and I came home only to do laundry. Isn't it terrible when you can only think, "is it Friday yet"

Halloween

I was at Walmart and was in the Halloween isle and saw this awesome Wet n Wild glitter polish so of course I had to buy.

Well I went home and the polish does NOT come out like it looks like in the bottle, not a surprise... so I decided to put on OPI Who are you wearing underneath and I LOVE IT. Also high on the random compliment meter at work!

Sorry that the color isn't GREAT, it was already cloudy by the time I could come home and take a pic after work.
Let's hope this week is a fast one!

Lovely White

I wanted to post two pictures of China Glaze White Kwik Silvr because it shows how different a polish can look with a twist of a hand and being in a different light. Now both of these were taken outside on my porch but as you can see the first one looks A LOT whiter than the second.
I used three coats but still probably could have put on a fourth and its still kind of sheer and you can see the nail line.
It's margarita time for me! Happy Friday!

What a Day!

Zoya "Juicy" is what I'm wearing.

Good things are happening over here, bit by bit, but I'm a nervous wreck. But until then I'll think nail polish. This is an awesome color, but seeing it in the sun makes me realize I should have puton a third coat, if you apply thin it doesn't take a long time to dry. Especially with the solar speed spray that my boyfriend loves me to use because it has almond oil in it! haha.
Let's hope the week goes by fast, I have a lot of plans for this weekend!

Beautiful Brown

So I took today off and decided to go shopping, Dillards is having a free bonus for Clinique so I figured it was time to use my gift card and get some stuff. I also headed to Sally's since they sell China Glaze now, I usually buy most of my polishes online but I wanted to see what they had, I found this lovely brown from the Rodeo Diva collections. Prize Winning Mare. I love it! I bought two more polishes but Sally's tends to keep with more of the "safe colors" I should say. I'm thinking I might need to buy the new blue collection online.

I did some swatching of stuff that I just have in my nail polish box. I'll post them soon!

Here is a little Zoya Yummy with China Glaze's Blue Sparrow on the tips. Didn't I say I love Blue Sparrow! So pretty together.

Tomorrow is my Friday and I am looking so forward to it. Gonna get my margarita on for a concert I can't wait to see.

Much love!

Black Cherry

Black Cherry doesn't look verry Cherry though does it? It's pretty but it was hard to apply because of the brush. I got a couple of compliments, but all in all too plain and too similar to black to really enjoy. Think I'm going to take it off and change my mani tonight.

Race Day?

Well I was going to paint my nails a TN orange today, but yesterday the boyfriend and I were in Walgreens last night getting some essentials and we were passing through the makeup aisle (of course!) and I had to look at the fake eyelashes for Halloween, and I saw these fake nails. Now let me tell you, I am not a fake nail wearer, but these were just $2.99 and I thought they were so cute - and my boyfriend was really digging the checkered flag look, so I bought them. But I haven't put these kind of nails on in forever and so they looked kind of crappy. But I still got compliments from the public at work and so I figured they were worth their weight in gold.
And disregard my cuticles, I need to do some major work on my cuticles this weekend, they need freshning up and mosturizing as well.
I'm off to enjoy my Friday!

Mani of the "week"

I put week in quotations because really I change my mani a few times during the week, but am too lazy to do a Nail of the Day. Lol. I am wearing China Glaze Recycle and I love this color! I am very into different and crazy colors. I was up front at work today (which means dealing with the public) and this color has received the most compliments I have ever had during a day. A lot of people said they had never seen a gray color, which I can understand because if you go to normal drug stores you won't see a GRAY! So their compliments made me happy! But tomorrow its going to change to TN orange. Go Vols!

Oh and if the color seems a little dull it's because this is my third day of wearing it. I used Orly Bonder and Orly Topcoat!

Greeness!

With Flash

And of course without flash.

Here is another one of my favorite colors. This is such an awesome green and it was perfect for this past summer. It's China Glaze Tree Hugger :)

This is a polish that works great on the toes as well.

Today was a killer day and I had to remove my mani I put on last night because I had chipped it before I had even gone to bed - that's what I get for making cookies at 9:00. I just had to have oatmeal cookies. So my nails were a stained purple - EEK not good.

I'll work on another mani tonight!

Favorite Blue!

I'm going to start off with my favorite blue - I was trying to decide what color to paint my nails today and my friend was looking through my nail polishes and she found my China Glaze Blue Sparrow and said, "hey you wear this color a lot" and I thought, yes, that's a favorite of mine.

So here you go, the lovely Blue Sparrow. It applies really well and the staying power is phenom. The glitter is little bit of a pain to take off, but not that bad, really. I used this with Orly Bonder basecoat and China Glaze topcoat.

Hey There!!

So I'm VERY new to this blogging world. I'm going to try to keep up with it, but who knows. I'm very familiar with Myspace and Facebook but I've yet to conquer blogspot and I really want to because I love reading everyone elses blogs about fashion and of course NAIL polish.

I don't have a ton of money to spend on my "silly" habit of outlandish colors but I love it all the same. Websites, Sally's, Walgreens and local discount stores keep my stash up to date.

I work in a conservative enviroment and I try to be a little creative with my nail polish and so far no one has complained. I get more compliments on my bright yellow polish than I ever do with my red tips.

If you have any recomendations let me know. If not, have fun and enjoy. I might not be up to date with the new trends, I'm just a girl who loves color and a new color every few days!
